Omniscio: the facts

Omniscio is a desktop app that runs many AI coding agent sessions at the same time on your own computer, and shows them in one window. It is made for people who run several agents at once and want to see which one needs them. This page is the short version: what it is, what it runs on, what it costs, and what it is not. Every line here comes from our own software and our own pages.

By the Omniscio team. Updated .

What Omniscio is

Omniscio spawns, monitors and manages many AI coding agent sessions at once. Each session runs as a managed child process, and the app shows the live state of every one of them in one place.

The agents are ones you set up and pay for. Omniscio drives them and keeps them in order.

Sessions that need you sort first, so you respond and move on.

What it runs on

There are separate downloads for Windows, macOS and Linux: a Windows installer, a macOS build for Apple silicon and Intel, and a Linux AppImage.

Omniscio runs sessions through Claude Code or one of the other agents it supports. Our homepage states the support line as:

Any model, any harness — Claude Code, Codex, OpenCode, Devin, Pi, and Hermes all supported.

Each harness you want is switched on in Settings.

Most people run it on their own Claude account or API key. Sessions run on your own key or account, or on prepaid Omniscio credit with Pro.

What it costs

Free is a real plan, not a trial. Pro lifts every cap except email sending, which rises to 3,000 a month.

What you getFreePro at $20/month or $192/year

Email sending500 a month3,000 a month

Pro also adds automation recipes, custom share links, managed model providers billed against prepaid Omniscio credit, and cloud transcription for your recordings.

Omniscio does not include any AI usage on either plan. You keep the model account and the spend, and the app can hold a per-session cap that stops that session when its cost crosses a limit.

The price is shown in the app before you buy, and you can change or cancel it there.

Key features

The features page is the full list. These are the ones people ask about most, in the features page's own wording.

  • Concurrent sessions. Run many sessions in parallel across your projects, each one managed by the app.
  • Attention-first inbox. Sessions that need you surface to an inbox, so you respond and move on.
  • Session statuses. Running, needs-you, error, stalled, waiting and the rest, shown on every session and used for sorting and colour.
  • Git diff viewer. Uncommitted changes shown against the original, with an on-demand plain-English summary of what a diff does.
  • Global search. Ctrl+K searches every conversation across your projects, with filters for project, status, tag and date.
  • Session cost. Per-session cost, tokens and turns are tracked and shown as you work.
  • Notifications. Desktop alerts when a session needs you, with a choice of always, only when the app is in the background, or never.
  • Budget caps. A per-session hard cap stops a session when its cost crosses a limit.
  • Automation recipes. Reusable multi-step playbooks with a cost cap and a time cap, on Pro.
  • Artifact sharing. Publish a self-contained HTML artifact to a public link, with custom links on Pro.

Off until you turn it on

Five parts of the app ship switched off, and each one is turned on in its own place.

  • Worktree isolation. One branch and working directory per session, and it is off by default. You turn it on per session, per project or for the whole app.
  • The inbuilt terminal. It sits in the Lab settings and is still in development, so it is off by default.
  • The messaging integrations. Gmail, SMS, Slack and Telegram connect to your own accounts or phone, and each one is off until you connect it.
  • Remote access. A phone browser view of your sessions over a paired connection. It is off by default, and public internet access is off by default too.
  • The PR Merge Queue. It is off by default, and it is switched on in its own settings.

What Omniscio is not

  • It is not open source.
  • It is not a hosted cloud IDE. The app runs on your own machine, over your own files.
  • It does not include AI usage. Model usage is paid through your own key or account, or through prepaid Omniscio credit on Pro.
  • Free is not a trial. It is a plan you can stay on.
